Employees and retirees of the E.W. Scripps Company generously volunteer their time and talents to worthy charitable organizations in their communities. The Volunteer Grant program allows those employees and retirees to leverage up to $1,000 for the charitable organizations to which they support. In 2007, 134 volunteers received grants for 163 charitable organizations in their communities.
Grants are awarded to projects and programs within charitable organizations that enhance the quality of life in communities where Scripps employees and retirees give their time.
Applications are reviewed quarterly. Deadlines to apply are: March 31, June 30, September 30 and December 31.
