Scholarships

Scholarships give a hand up to students who have proven their capabilities in the classroom, on the job and – often – in their communities. They are a reward for accomplishments and an investment in potential. The Foundation offers a number of scholarships to promising young communicators, some of which are endowed scholarships at our partner schools. Our premiere scholarship program is a nationally competitive Top Ten Scholarship which awards $10,000 scholarships each to ten communications students. One student may be nominated by any communications program; applicants are selected by independent judges, based on school record, a portfolio of work, community service, an essay and recommendations.

For information about the scholarship programs, contact Sue Porter, vice president/programs, Scripps Howard Foundation at 1-800-888-3000 ext. 3030 or sue.porter@scripps.com.
